Happy Monday Moment, everyone. I’m so sorry about my absence last week, but I’m back! May is proving to be a super hectic month. The above photo is my little succulent Wallace (who some may have seen in my Instagram feed here and here).

+ Random thought: I forgot how great the writing and acting was on “Frasier”.

Today’s Monday Moment, taken during my visit to my Grandfather and Grandmother’s village in Mainland China.

Have I told you how much I’m looking forward to this weekend’s temperatures being in the double digits? I am absurdly excited. Hopefully this will be an actual “so long” to winter, so I thought it’d be appropriate to post these winter-y photos. These were taken about a month ago, during a quick walk through the UTM woods. And yup, that’s my face again, being all awkward and such.

Happy Monday Moment, friends! You might be able to tell from the above Monday Moment that we’re still feeling the wintery colds here in Toronto. It’s warming up a bit, but not enough. I just want to bust out my spring clothes, and put away these heavy sweaters!

A few photographs from my brief visit to Wallace Espresso, a tiny coffee shop tucked away at Lansdowne and Wallace. There’s a homey feel to this little cafe – no menus, no signs. Just a couple of stools, beautiful decor and good coffee.

Hey everyone! Happy Monday, and happy Monday Moment! This is an untouched scan (except for the added text) of a 35mm still, taken at the same time as this post. This is such a good example of why I like doing my Monday Moment series. I loved the imperfections of this photo, yet it didn’t meld well with the aesthetic of the other 35mm scans of the “apartment in 35mm” blog post. So … ta-da! This photo got Monday Moment-ed.

+ Listening to Other People by Beach House, over and over.
+ I’ve finally switched from Adobe Suite CS5 to CS6 and the difference is incalculable. Before this, I was processing photos in Photoshop CS5, with the non-retina update on a retina macbook pro. I can’t believe how wonderful having a retina-capable Adobe Photoshop is … for some reason, I feel like I have a completely new computer.

+ A new addition to the family! His name is Wallace.
